So, things are about to get kooky, schedule-wise.

First and foremost, I’m going to be at the Vancouver Comic Arts Festival on the 26th and 27th. It’s gonna be neat. I’m on a panel at noon on the Saturday all about fantasy in comics and fiction, so any of you who live in or around Vancouver should come see me. I believe attendance is free, so do it to it and say hi.

Second, I’m moving at the end of the month. So, like, right when I get back from the convention. Things will be pretty hectic and my drawing stuff will proooobably be packed for part of that last week.

I’ve got some guest comics lined up, but, depending on how stupid things get, it might not be enough to cover my absences. I might be able to pull off updating next week, but it all depends on how packing goes. Best case scenario is I run like regular next week and then the week after we’ll have guest material. Middle-best scenario is I do something for Tuesday, guest thing Thursday, maybe me again on the Tuesday after, and another guest on the Thursday. WORST case is I run guests next week and then miss the week after entirely. I don’t want that to happen, but we’ll see. Just thought I’d give the heads up.

Tra la la. A little bit of exposition. A little bit of question answering. So yeah. Now you know the whole point of this little Linnel diversion between chapters. Dalin and Ven argued about warlocks back in chapter 2, with Dalin taking the position that they’re all evil (as most people do) and the more worldly Ven thinking they just get a bum rap, but mostly the concept of them was left vague. Now you see how they’re made, and what they are. Surprise, Ven’s the correct one, here. One of these days I’ll do up more of a history/lore section (maybe a wiki?) to expand a little further on the concept and to give you more of an idea how and where magic fits into the world of Knifestone, but that’ll wait until sometime during/after chapter 4, when it will be… more relevant.

Well, that walk sure took a strange turn for our girl, didn’t it?

Man, I almost missed this page, too. I just got a new computer right in the middle of a bunch of supes busy days so was sorta touch and go if I’d have Photoshop and all my stuff installed in time to make the page for tonight, but I did. Sorry again about Tuesday’s. I hate missing pages.

Up there you see the cover for Knifestone, Book One. It’ll be coming out May 18th (if everything goes to schedule), and the cover there is what I managed to use my last piece of bristol board on.

On a normal Monday I woulda just gone downtown and got more and done a page like regular, but I’ve had a crazy exciting last couple of days and Monday got spent driving around looking for a new apartment with my girlfriend, who I’ll be moving in with in June, and I just kinda plum forgot about my supply situation. Sorry guys! Try and temper your grumps with congratulations for my big life changes and happiness at the existence of a neat book of the comic? I’ll try and see if I can get something done today and maybe post it tonight or Wednesday. We’ve got a couple places to see this afternoon with a chunk of time in the middle so I can probably go get some stuff then.
